Is there a way to stop the database prompt?

At present, the database login prompt will appear a minimum of once per report/sub report in a single viewing session.   There is not a setting to turn this off permanently.

In order for a report to retrieve fresh data,  a data connection is required and part of the report opening process is a check for the existence of data and a retrieval of the connection information less the password*.

If the report does not contain saved data when initially viewed, a data connection is required and thus a prompt will be displayed.

If the report contains saved data when first viewed, the logion prompt will not be presented until the report is refreshed as this is when the connection will be required.

Any subsequent refreshes of the report will not prompt as the connection information is stored dynamically for that session.

*Note: Crystal Reports does not store (embed) the password in the report file (.rpt) structure itself as a matter of security.
