Will Crystal Ease work against an AS400 datasource?

Crystal Ease itself does not make a data connection.  Rather the Crystal Reports report file (.rpt) makes the connection to the data source.  Crystal Ease is merely a container or vehicle for the report.

Having said that, the general rule of thumb is if you can create a report (in Crystal Reports) against the database and the proper client files along with Crystal Ease are on the machine you should be fine. AS400 included.

Note: As it is impossible to test against every datasource, there may be times when Crystal Ease will not work against your datasource.  We have not had any reports of this thus far however.
